iTest Training
Fanfare offers hands-on courses to give your team a comprehensive understanding of iTest. Our instructors use real-life examples and students receive personalized guidance as they practice designing, developing, and automating test cases using iTest. Classes are held onsite (at your facility) and at Fanfare headquarters in Mountain View, California.
Available Training Courses
iTest training courses include:
- iTest Foundations A two-day course designed to develop fundamental iTest skills needed to automate the majority of manual test cases. Students operate iTest in telnet and web sessions throughout the course by following instructor examples and then reapplying the material in challenging lab exercises.
This course covers capture of manual testing and analysis of device responses in the first day. The second day is devoted to debugging, automation, portability, and test suites. Automation covers flow control with loops and variable checking. Test case portability is provided by adding parameters and procedure libraries. Test suites enable automated testing overnight with e-mailed reports.
- iTest Response Analysis This extension to the Foundations class is designed to develop data analysis tools so that all forms of text response can be filtered and analyzed automatically. The students spend the day following examples and then reapplying the material in lab exercises. The day starts with in depth coverage of Table, Sample and Block mapping of responses. This is followed by an overview of regex, XML and XPATH as used in iTest. All of this background leads up to developing advanced data queries that filter and prepare data for the analysis that determines if the test passes or fails.
