Cisco Test Assets

This collection of iTest assets includes response maps, session profiles, and sample test cases. These assets were developed and tested on Cisco's C2600 platform using Cisco IOS 12.2(15). Users are welcome to try these assets on different Cisco platforms and IOS versions.

Over 60 response maps are included in this asset package, including response maps for common responses such as:

Installation Instructions

This collection of test assets is delivered as a .zip file that contains a .psf file (project set file). The .psf file will be used to automatically import the test assets to your local version of iTest using Fanfare's public Subversion (source control) repository. Here are the steps to follow to utilize the .psf file:

  1. Download and save the .zip file to your local hard drive, then unzip the folder to extract the files. In the extracted directory, you will see a copy of the iTest App Store Terms of Service as well as a .psf file (project set file).
  2. From within iTest, perform the following actions:
    • From the main menu, choose File > Import.
    • Select Team > Team Project Set, then click Next.
    • Browse to find and select the .psf file that you downloaded in step 1, then click Finish.
  3. The projects will now appear in iTest Explorer.

Once you have used the .psf file to import the assets to iTest, the files will maintain their connection to Fanfare's public source control repository. This means that any updates that are made to the files will be instantly available to you. To check if there are updates available, right-click the directory or file you would like to update, then choose Team > Update.

Response Map Limitations

All response maps were built based on the output included in the samples of the response map. If the samples differ from your specific device's output, then the response maps might need modifications. You are welcome to modify the response maps or send us additional samples that we can use to create a newer version of the response map.

We would like your feedback about these test assets! Contributions are also welcome in the form of samples, updated response maps, and new response maps that you may have created on your own. To provide feedback or submit contributions, post to this board on the Fanfare discussion forums. (You must register or log in before you will be allowed to post.)
