Yahoo!® Messenger Integration

This application adds a new "Yahoo Messenger" session type to iTest that can be used to send instant messages from iTest.

Usage Overview

This application uses the Yahoo Messenger platform as a mechanism for sending IMs from iTest. This requires the creation of Yahoo account(s); one Yahoo account is required specifically to send IMs (iTest Sender Account). Regular Yahoo users can then add the iTest Sender Account to their buddy list to get IMs from this account.

Using Yahoo Messenger as a platform gives users access to built-in control management features provided by Yahoo Messenger such as:

• the ability to opt-in/out by adding/removing users from their buddy list
• control of whether or not the IMs are sent to mobile phones

Installation Instructions

This application is provided as a packaged update that can be installed directly into iTest using the "Software Updates" functionality.
