Fanfare Community Terms of Service

The Fanfare Community is designed to be a friendly, informative, respectful and safe community for Fanfare users and customers to exchange ideas, tips, advice and information related to Fanfare products and services. The Fanfare Community is accessible by all and will remain most valuable when everyone obeys certain basic guidelines and rules for online participation. These guidelines and rules are presented here so that you know what is expected of you and what you can expect from other participants when using the Fanfare Community. By registering you agree to follow these Usage Guidelines, in addition to the Legal Terms & Conditions which can be found at the end of this document.

Usage Guidelines

Ask for help.

  • Moderators and other experienced users are here to help, so please ask for assistance if you are unsure about posting rules or forum etiquette.

Be respectful.

  • The Fanfare Community is meant to be a supportive environment for all users. Flaming or disrespecting other members is not allowed.

Follow the "golden rules" of posting.

  • Before submitting a new post, always search the boards for a similar question or topic to see if the answer already exists.
  • Be as specific as possible in your post. This will help others understand your issue more easily and will lead to faster resolution.
  • Post to the correct category. Each board has a defined category. If your topic does not pertain to a particular category, please post it to one of the "general" topic boards.

Act responsibly.

  • Do not give out personal information (yours or others) in public forums.
  • Use common sense and do not follow links or download files that seem suspicious or out of place. 
  • Notify a moderator of any suspicious activity.

Abuse of the following guidelines could result in suspension or banning.

  • Do not use the Fanfare Community for spamming or promotion purposes. Do not post anything that could be considered spam, junk mail, advertising, or any other form of unsolicited offer.
  • Illegal or offensive posts, including posts that are pornographic, racist, sexist, vulgar, abusive, threatening, or otherwise objectionable, are not allowed. 
  • Personal attacks or harassment (otherwise known as "flaming") is not allowed in either public forum posts or private messages. 
  • Refrain from posting material, or links to material, that infringes on copyrights or intellectual property rights. 
  • Harmful files and code, including viruses, should not be included or referenced in any posts.

Legal Terms & Conditions

1.    Rules and Regulations
The following rules and regulations apply to all visitors to or users of the Fanfare Group, Inc. ("Fanfare") community forum and related web sites (collectively, the "Fanfare Community"). By accessing the Fanfare Community, you acknowledge acceptance of these terms and conditions. Fanfare reserves the right to change these rules and regulations from time to time at its sole discretion. In the case of any violation of these rules and regulations, Fanfare reserves the right to suspend or terminate your right to access the Fanfare Community. In addition, Fanfare reserves the right to seek all remedies available by law and in equity for such violations. These rules and regulations apply to all visits to the Fanfare Community, both now and in the future.

2.    Compliance With Applicable Laws; Export Control Laws
Your access to the Fanfare Community is governed by all applicable federal, state and local laws. All information available within the Fanfare Community is subject to U.S. export control laws and may also be subject to the laws of the country where you reside. All Fanfare products and publications are commercial in nature. Use duplication, or disclosure by the United States Government is subject to the restrictions set forth in DFARS 252.227-7015 and FAR 52.227-19.

3.    Trademarks
The trademarks, logos and service marks ("Marks") displayed within the Fanfare Community are the property of Fanfare or other third parties. You are not permitted to use these Marks without the prior written consent of Fanfare or such third party which may own the Mark.

4.    No License Granted
Nothing contained herein shall be construed as conferring by implication, or otherwise any license or right under any patent, trademark or copyright of Fanfare or any third party. YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO MODIFY, DISTRIBUTE, PUBLISH, TRANSMIT OR CREATE DERIVATIVE WORKS OF ANY MATERIAL FOUND ON THIS SITE FOR ANY PUBLIC OR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES.

5.    General Disclaimer
Although Fanfare will attempt to insure that accurate information is posted within the Fanfare Community, Fanfare assumes no responsibility for the accuracy of the information. ALL INFORMATION PROVIDED ON THE FANFARE COMMUNITY IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITH ALL FAULTS WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. FANFARE AND ITS SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOST PROFITS OR REVENUES, COSTS OF REPLACEMENT GOODS, LOSS OR DAMAGE TO DATA ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE FANFARE COMMUNITY FOR ANY FANFARE PRODUCT OR SERVICES, DAMAGES RESULTING FROM USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE INFORMATION PRESENT, EVEN IF FANFARE OR ITS SUPPLIERS HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT WILL THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF FANFARE RELATED TO THE FANFARE COMMUNITY EXCEED ONE US DOLLAR (US$1.00).

6.    Site Content Ownership
Content included in the Fanfare Community and provided by or on behalf of Fanfare (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, videos and forum posts) is the exclusive property of Fanfare. By submitting your content to the Fanfare Community, you hereby grant to Fanfare a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free and fully-paid, freely transferable, sub-licenseable (through multiple tiers) right to exercise all copyright, publicity, and moral rights, in any media now known or not currently known, with respect to any such content. Fanfare reserves the right to add, delete, edit, modify, and take any other action Fanfare deems necessary to preserve the integrity of all content posted on the Fanfare Community.

7.    Enforcement
Fanfare reserves the right to investigate any violation of the Fanfare terms and conditions and the Fanfare Community and to take appropriate action. Fanfare has absolute discretion to enforce its terms of usage. Remedial action may include, but is not limited to warning users, suspending access to the Fanfare Community, or deleting or editing any content. Fanfare may also request that you delete, edit, or re-submit any inappropriate content.

8.    International Site Use
The Fanfare Community is designed for US based customers and products purchased in the United States for use in the United States. All Fanfare Community content is in English. English language customers are welcome to use the Fanfare. The Fanfare Community may not be helpful or relevant to international customers. Not all products or programs mentioned will be available internationally. Please contact your local sales representative for information as to products and services available in your country.

9.    Links to Third Party Sites
The Fanfare Community may contain links to third party sites. Access to any other Internet site linked to the Fanfare Community is at your own risk and Fanfare is not responsible for the accuracy or reliability of any information, data, opinions, advice or statements made on these sites. Fanfare provides these links merely as a convenience and the inclusion of such links does not imply an endorsement. Any links posted by you are subject to all terms and conditions like any other type of content posted to the Fanfare Community. You may not post a link in the Fanfare Community that directs users to any content or information that would constitute a violation of the terms and conditions.

10.    Privacy Policy; Use at Own Risk
Fanfare is committed to protecting your privacy pursuant to the Fanfare privacy policy. However, the Fanfare Community is a public forum and Fanfare does not validate the identity of, or have any control over the actions of, your fellow Fanfare Community users. Use of the Fanfare Community is solely at your own risk. Please do not post any information that you do not wish to make public. Any information that you post can be viewed and used by others.

11.    Software License Agreement
Any software which you download is governed in accordance with (i) the license terms accompanying the file or (ii) if no license terms accompany the file, the terms of the license agreement which accompanied the original product licensed by you which you are updating.
